Since the birth of his daughter, Dr. Mohamed and his wife have become involved in the Dress a Girl around the World foundation, which provides a brand new dress to girls in underprivileged areas around the globe.  For many, this is the first new piece of clothing they have ever owned.  This simple act allows girls to realize they have dignity and feel worthy of love and respect.

For every pair of glasses sold at Southland, Dr. Mohamed and his wife will help make a brand new dress for a deserving young child. 

The empowerment and equality of women is a cause that we are committed to.  A personalized dress for a young girl who has never owned anything of her own can spark the pride and confidence that can propel her to a wonderful life.
